We would love to have you as our guest in worship service or Bible class.  We want to set your mind at ease about what you might experience during your visit.  We will do all we can to help you feel comfortable and welcome.

Greeting and Welcome

We meet for Bible class and worship at 8936 Benbrook Boulevard, Suite D in Benbrook, TX.  There are other businesses in the suites attached to ours on one side and on the other side is Riscky’s BBQ restaurant.  We offer Bible classes for all ages, including children.  Bible classes met from 9:30 - 10:15 with a 15 minute break before worship begins at 10:30.

Worship Beginning

Our song leader starts worship by leading the congregation in a cappella singing.  He uses a mix of current religious favorites and well-known classic hymns.  You’ll notice the words and music displayed on the screen behind him.  After a handful of songs and a prayer, we will share the Lord’s Supper.

Lord’s Supper and Offering

“The Lord’s Supper” may seem like a strange term if it is not familiar to you.  Every Sunday one or two of our men distribute trays for “the bread”, “fruit of the vine” (grape juice), and “offering” (financial giving by our members).  Baptized believers will eat a piece of the “bread” and drink the “cup”.  The reason we do this is to remember Jesus and the promise of forgiveness for those in a relationship with Him.  Christians do so as they quietly reflect on their relationship with Jesus.

After the Lord’s Supper, our members will make a monetary offering.  Guests are welcome to participate but it is not expected.  This is our members’ way of providing for the work and service that our church does in a number of ministries.  It is also a way for them to demonstrate their thanksgiving to God.  Each church member determines what he or she will give.

Children’s Bible Hour

After the Lord’s Supper, we will sing another song or two and invite those with small children to take them to “Bible Hour.”  Bible Hour is located in the smaller children’s classroom where the preschool Bible class is also held.  This is a time to sing and learn an additional Bible lesson.  Of course, this is offered as a service and it is up to the parent to decide if his or her child(ren) will participate.

Sermon and Dismissal

Our preacher will deliver a sermon based on a text or topic found in the Bible.  He seeks to highlight a principle from the Bible and discuss its relevance for living our lives today.  At the end of his sermon he will offer an “invitation.”  Usually those responding to the invitation want to be baptized, want to become a part of our church family, or want prayers offered on their behalf.  After the sermon and invitation, we will sing another song or two and dismiss the worship service with a prayer.

Entering and Exiting the Meeting Room

It is not uncommon to see adults or children quietly leave during worship to attend to various needs.  You’ll find restrooms through the door at the back of the auditorium and down the hall to the right.

We do look forward to your visit.  We hope this has provided you with a good overview of what you can expect in our worship services.  If you have any questions we have not addressed here, please feel free to This email address is being protected from spambots.
