God Confronts a Nation
God summons Judah to be held accountable for her sins of spiritual prostitution. Yet even in this moment of confronting national sin is a message of hope. The church today is God's people. Are we in danger of falling into the same temptations? If this is the case, how can modern Christians avoid these temptations? Finally, all people can be blessed by God's message of hope.
When God Calls
When God calls, will you go? Jeremiah was hesitant; he even offered an excuse. But when it was time to follow God and accurately prophesy, he did. Can we be as strong as Jeremiah? Are we prepared to share God's word even if we face obstacles?
Joy in Trying Times

Blessing in the Middle of Trouble
It's hard to find a bright spot in the middle of a storm. When the trials of life rage around us, we often do not see the blessing. We're tired, beaten, and struggling. But scripture promises that God can cause all things to work for the good of those who love him. God's blessings are there even when we cannot see them.
Joseph's Ups and Downs
In this period of uncertainty and anxiousness, we can reflect on the life of Joseph. He certainly faced both. Yet, his faith in God saw him through. Paul tells us that God causes all things to work for the good of those who love Him. We are living in difficult time. Tensions may exist at work, at home, at school; you may be unemployed and family relations strained. In Joseph, we find comfort and hope.
Christian Independence
July 4th is a day Americans as a nation celebrate the American colonies declared independence from England. As Christians we also enjoy freedom from the Old Law, the Law of Moses. But many of the Christians in the church of Galatia were bullied and confusingly taught they must follow that Old Law. Paul in his letter speaks of their freedom and ours.

We celebrate Memorial Day by remembering those who fell while taking a stand defending individual liberty and personal responsibility. A popular country song claims, "You have to stand for something or you'll fall for anything." The Apostle Paul took a stand when the church at Antioch was threatened with disunity and division. Christians today may find moments when it is necessary to take a stand for principle, morality, and Godly living. Will we be ready?
